CAN A CHARGNG PIN THAT BREAKS BE PHYSICAL DAMAGE??
The charging pin on My sony xperia z has broke. its basically the pin that has come off and is stuck in the charging cable. <br> <br> this is something which shows poor manufacturing with not long life of product. Handset is still under MTN warranty but according to the consultants at mtn that is physical damage and isn't covered by warranty.<br> <br> that's not acceptable as the charging pin cant be broken intentionally.

HVRC (Repair centre) is guided by the Manufacturer's repair and assessment guidelines, in accordance with their Standards and mandate. Physical damage/Traces of liquids being detected on handsets voids warranty and repairs cannot be attempted.
The handset is declared BER (Beyond Economical Repairs) due to the effects of liquid/ Physical contact. A physically damaged or liquid exposed handset cannot pass quality assurance tests due to defects that HVRC cannot ignore.
Regretfully we are unable to expedite the matter further.
