Call Centre non existant. Self service menu only

I have tried to contact both the 173 and 1808 number to get the internet settings for my phone.

Both numbers says my number is invalid. ***????

I phoned the ********** number, but the incompetant lady keeps putting me through to a self service menu which asks for my number. Yet again my number is invalid!

What is going on at MTN? Can't MTN afford staff in the call centres any more?

I just want the internet settings.

Let me know if it is of too much effort to provide me with those settings as other networks are eager for me to port my number out.

Good day,
Thank you for taking the time to raise your concerns and affording us the opportunity to address the same. Kindly accept our sincere apologies for any inconvenience caused.
Kindly note that the correct number to dial is 808, not 1808 for our contract call centre.
Regards,
Ishie

I have tried it and yet again the voice prompt says that my number is an invalid contract number. So I have tried 173, 1808 and 808. No success.
MTN's system with the self service voice prompts is Pathetic. No more 0 option to get hold of a service consultant.
