BUYING AND PAYING CASH FOR CELLULAR PHONE

I Purchased a Samsung J5 Prime Plus from the Garden Route Mall MTN last Friday 24th March 2017. Wednesday I ask a consultant what do I do as the phone is faulty. They said that the Garden Route Mall shop is closed now for revamping and referred me to the Mtn shop in the Meander Mall in George. When I visited the shop yesterday no one could help because most of the staff is trainees. Then they asked that I should wait for the shop manager, the shop manager was busy helping another client, and I waited. Then the area manager came into the shop, and then the Manager asked me is she could help me, then I explained to her that the phone is faulty going load go softer and showing at the top that there is no signal although the sim card is fine. Then the manager said to me because it is bought cash she need to find out from the area Manager Charles Smith, to know what must be done. Then she returned to me to say I should leave the phone there, as they have to first order a phone because they can not do the credit note as it was an MTN store and not a franchise. Then I told her it's my business phone and I do not have another phone to put my sim card in until such time they can get my phone. The area manager tried to help and I told him that we are travelling to Rawsonville for a funeral tomorrow and then he phoned the branch in Worcester to asked if they have a phone which I could swop. They had stock and Lana Nel said she will keep the phone, but there were a problem as they need to credit the phone to give me another phone and I must switch my phone off because if it is faulty then I can not use it. My question to Charles Smith was, that I can not be without my phone as it is my business, and if MTN has decided to revamp a store why should I sit with the problem of not having a phone for business Friday as we are only leaving George at 14H00. He then told me that is the only way they can help me, my question again was why should I loose business because of MTN revamping their store is it my problem, no it is not and I am sure that MTN can give it time as the 7 days return can be done only Late Friday 30th March in Worcester. I am actually referring to the Consumer Act as I know it very well. I will switch off my phone but you will be responsible to pay me out R550.00 per hour that is my rate. I would expect you to get back to me with very urgency on this matter. My contact details are ********** 544
