Business MTN Style

I was a customer of MTN and left because of their abysmal service and attitude. Turns out that Telkom and Vodacom have the same disposition so I thought to take out a 3 year contract with MTN and give them another chance (most problems arise with upgrades!) and phoned their store. Callow youth informed me that I owe MTN money - no detail. Rather a surprise as a) it's simply not true b) they never EVER contacted me and c) it would have prescribed SEVEN years ago. Crass individual informs me that I cannot therefore take out a contract with MTN and terminates call. No investigation, no explanation and the promised callback...nada. It is extraordinary how shockingly bad South African companies are and the cell phone operators seem to be competing for a prize to provide the worst service. They are world beaters in this regard. You would think that MTN at this point would prize any income so that they can pay their fine in Nigeria. GO NIGERIA! My contract was but one, but it would have been R559 pm x 36 plus all the extras for data/additional out of bundle calls etc. Cleary MTN's attitude remains unchanged and as pathetic as ever.
