On the 18th of April I took up the home router deal at a cost price of R250 per month, the agent explained that I will need to make an upfront payment of R356.90 which consists of the pro rata payment for April and the installment for May, a payment link was sent to my email and I made an eft payment using my credit card the agent confirmed that the money was received and the router was delivered after few days.

To my surprise, there was an attempt by mtn to debit R589.30 from my account on the 4th of May which is my chosen debit order day, the payment did not go through due to insufficient funds as I was expecting a debit of R250. I contacted mtn on Facebook and I was told that the R359.90 payment that I made on the 18th of April is not reflecting on my account, I was given an email address to send my bank statement. Few days later my internet connection was down and I called mtn and I was told that I'm owing about R600 I then explained to the agent about the R356.90 payment which was made on the 18th of April, the agent asked me to email him the proof of payment from paygate which I did and he told me that he will send everything to the banking department and ask them to allocate the R356.90 payment to my account he then asked me to pay the remaining amount which is R243.80, I agreed to pay it and he said the money will be debited within 24hours.

On the 18th of May R243.80 was debited from my account, to my surprise there was an attempt to debit R356.90 immediately after that and the debit order was unpaid due to insufficient funds I ignored it on Tuesday and Wednesday my internet connection was down I contacted mtn and was told that I owe R356.90, I explained to the agent that I paid that R356.90 on the 18th of April and I provided all the required documents to prove that the payment was made, the agent told me that the money will be allocated within 24 to 48 hours, while I'm waiting for 48 hours to lapse so that I can contact mtn to enquire mtn decided to debit R356.90 from my account today.
