Broken phone after 3 days!
My husband upgraded his phone with MTN and received his new device (iPhone 6) on Tuesday, 12 May 2015. On Friday, 15 May 2015, he adjusted the volume on the side of the phone. Upon doing this, the screen cracked from the volume control buttons to the bottom right corner. As per the terms and conditions, any problems need to be reported within 7 days, so on Saturday morning, I phoned the store and spoke to Siphiwe to report the incident since we were away in Cape Town and would only be back on Tuesday night. We went into the store on Saturday morning and were told by Siphiwe that the phone can only be repaired at our expense, however, upon reading through the contract Terms and Conditions, I noticed that there is a clause which covers \manufacturer defect". I have emailed Customer Care with all these details and not one person has bothered to come back to us with a solution. All I can say is that the service that we are getting"

All our handsets go through full Quality Assurance tests before being issued out to clients. Kindly be advised the OBF policy would not cover the device if the damage has been physically caused by the customer/caused due to negligence.
Our HVRC (repair centre) will be able to assist you with the repair of your device. Should your handset not comply with all warranty guidelines you would be liable for any cost involved.
There is a quote rejection fee of R330.00 incl. vat applicable when the repair quotation is rejected by client or the quote has expired. This is a standard business rule.
