Breach of Contract
I have cancelled my contract on 24 August and even after the Retention consultant phoned me I stated I want continue with my cancellation effective from 1 September. I was provided with a reference ********** 0. Subsequently deductions continued and I requested again to effect my cancellation from 1 September. On 2 October Retention unit confirmed execution WITHIN 2 BUSINESS DAYS and provided reference ********** 6. No cancellation was done and today another debit order deducted. I then phone and the consultant told me that she has inactivated my account from current date. The deduction was for the month of October. I told her that I cancelled my contract effective from 1 September and have evidence. She was sarcastically referring me to what she has done now and by her own admission she stated that they have notice of cancellation in October but did not execute it and could not gave an explanation. She was just hammering on what SHE has done now...............That to her was resolving my issue that my debit order should not have been deducting as from 1 September. Needless to say she hang up on me whilst I was trying to trace the cancellation reference submitted on 24 August. Needless also to say on 2 October MTN agreed to follow-up on my Hello Peter enquiry and get back and I am still waiting. I want my premiums to be refunded that you *******ly deducted on 1 November.
