Breach of client information

I called MTN a few weeks ago to request for statements for my contract as I was not receiving them. The individual I spoke to told me that they had an incorrect email address and my emails were being sent to the wrong address. Today I looked at my statement and saw that I was overcharged for my monthly bill. When I called MTN they told me it is for the statements I requested for. Not only were my details and information compromised by MTN, on top of that I was charged by them. What protection do I have as a consumer for such treatment? Is this not something the Ombudsman can assists me in as I can be a victim of ***** for this as this can be used as a FICA document for credit application and accomodation? This is definitely not in line with the confidentiality protection clause!
