Brain Damaged Customer not allowed to cancel subs

The lack of empathy and understanding is disgusting! MTN will not allow the free cancellation of a contract for a customer who is now permanently brain damaged!<br> My sister is a serious epileptic and is considered disabled by SARS & receives a government disability grant & has letters from neurologists stating her condition. She was disabled but able to operate a cellphone for which my mother paid the monthly subscriptions. She has had a brain operation that has left her brain damaged and incapacitated, she is no longer able to walk or speak properly let alone operate a cellphone! We have letters from her neurologists stating that she is disabled and incapacitated but MTN will not allow for the free cancellation of the contract as the contract is in my mothers name but the medical letters are in my sisters name and want to charge a large cancellation fee. <br> I understand the contractual obligations but this is purely a name issue. The branch told us that If the contract was in my sisters name they would have happily cancelled the contract for free! <br> The lack of empathy and understanding is disgusting-where is MTN's social responsibility?!?
