Bought data by mistake

I was buying 17 data. But mistakly bought R1000 mtn data by using my app. my phone screen has a problem so it was busy pressing itself. So I don't need the data because the money it was meant for my kids stationary. I tried to call mtn for refund but they refused to help me. What can I do now
