Bogus third-party insurance

<p>While following up on 2 unknown debit orders on my account I discovered that it was the supposed handset insurance I took out when renewing contracts for two handsets on my name during my last upgrade with MTN. When I finally managed to get hold of the company the handsets were insured with, I discovered that not only was one of the current handsets not insured, a previous handset was still on the policy as well as another handset that I've been requesting MTN to remove from the policy. Previous requests for the handset to be removed were met with statements that they had no knowledge of such a policy. What I took away from this is that MTN outsources your insurance to someone who then outsources to someone else and in the process your details are never updated your personal information is scattered to the wind, while MTN promptly forgets about it and absolve themselves of all resonsibility. I have cancelled the bogus third-party insurance and will absolutely not be trusting MTN with the insurance of my handsets ever again. </p>
