Blocked phone services
MTN blocked my phone services not only for outgoing calls but also for incoming calls due to non-payment of my monthly contract fee. I cannot receive SMS or voice calls. I borrowed a phone and called MTN to request that they unblock my phone so I get the OTP sms to pay them the money since I pay using cellphone banking. I am still not able to receive anything and it is now the 3rd month. I am battling to resolve this matter since I don't have a phone. I sent email to follow up on my problem and it's never been responded to. I am really disappointed at MTN after using this network for over 16 years and now this is how my loyalty is being rewarded. I am feeling very helpless now as it is and am considering to port to another network since I cannot go on like this. I battle to all my electronic banking services because the OTP goes to the blocked phone. My things are stuck and now it doesn't seem like MTN is willing to help me in this regard

19 Aug 2019, 13:46My problem is that I want to pay via EFT and my bank OTP comes through to the same phone. Why ca't you let me receive sms and block only the outgoing ones until payment is confirmed. I want to pay the money. I have been having it since the day I called MTN 2 months ago as I am having a difficulty of physically going to the Absa. I have cellphone/internet banking which I do all my transactions on and I want to use it to pay the outstanding amount mention in your reply, however I ca.t access my OTP. Can you please sort this out ASAP.
