Blatant *****

My MTN contract expires on 24/01/2016 and I wanted to stop contract and convert to a pay as you go. First enquiry at MTN Eastgate I was told to return 30 days prior to the end of the contract so as to give 30 days notice period.

I returned to MTN Eastgate on 26/12/2015 to give notice of cancellation of contract and convert to a pay-as-you go. I spoke to Dikeledi Ndlovu at MTN Eastgate. She said I must return after 24/01/2016 then she can help me but insisted that there was no notice period needed and when I cancel the contract it would simply take about 24 hours to convert to pay-as-you go and stop contract.

I insisted this cannot be true and demanded that I be given this response from her in writing, after much argument she sent me a email confirming this \Keeping your number u cannot do it before 24 /01/2016 no notice period needed \"

I cancelled the contract today at MTN Kilaney store, ref# 624 04 99. Now I am told it will take 20 business days as notice period to do and I will be billed for this period. This is ***** and I was **** to, I was told in writing no notice period is needed even after arguing I wanted to give notice to cancel."
