Blacklisting a ****** phone.

My phone got ****** last night and obviously I needed to report it. I went on the MTN website to check what is the procedure when reporting a ****** phone. It clearly states: When speaking with the agent, please have the following • Your ID number • The phone number or IMEl number of the missing device

I’m not home and I don’t have the IMEI number, hence why I went on the MTN website to find an alternative way to blacklist my phone.

I’m so dissatisfied with the service I’ve received from “trained” call centre agents. I had to call four times last night, and only on the fourth attempt I was told to call the next day as their blacklisting department is closed.

I called twice this morning and I spoke to two agents, one whose name was Sisipho Makamba, I specifically told her what it clearly states regarding the requirements for blacklisting a phone. She said “where did you get that?!” She and the rest of the other call center agents I spoke to were adamant that I need an IMEI number and weren’t even bothered to assist me further without it.

These call center agents have the worst phone etiquette and a stinking attitude when trying to assist their clients.
