Black Friday deal.. contract rejected???

On Friday 25 November 2016 I app**** for a contact to take advantage of MTN black Friday special (50GB per month extra). All seemed to go OK and I was told by Edna, the agent, that a sim would be delivered to me and I must have a copy of proof of residence and my ID ready. She confirmed that I had taken the sim only deal at R150 per month and spelled out what I would recieve with the contract (200 minutes, 200MB, extra 50GB data per month etc. etc. etc.).

So, I waited a few days for the sim to arrive but it did not.
On the Wednesday I called the call center and was told that the application was incomplete (or something like that) and that Edna would be emailed to sort it out and would call me. I waited for the call but did not recieve any. The following day (Thursday) I called again and was told Edna would contact me.

Edna did finally call me and said she "meant to call" me the other day. Apparently my contract was rejected for some or other reason (she said something about "suspected" *****) and it must be my credit rating, I should call the credit bureau to see why.

I did contact ITC and found my credit rating is 100% with zero issues.... I called the call center again but have had no response again...

My question/issue now, is why was the application rejected and why was I not notified? If there was an issue which I could have fixed/sorted out, I would still have been able to take advantage of the deal as it was available again on the following Monday.
