Billing more than credit limit
I was billed for R2601.48 over my credit limit for data. I phoned them to resolve this but I'm just sent from one person to another. I got about 3 reference numbers for this and they can't resolve it. I even asked them for the recording where one of the senior staff members assured me it would never go over my credit limit. My contract ended on 28 Sep 2017 got emails where they say it is ended but still got an invoice for Oct 2017 for Oct monthly fee.
I'm not prepared to pay this at all will pay subscription fee of R89 and credit limit of R125 but not more than that.
I just do not get a valid answer from them every time I'm trying to get hold of someone at MTN.

Thanks for the reply. I had this same issue a few months ago and contacted Mtn. My data used to stop when it exceeded 2 gig. Suddenly it just went over and got billed. I phoned customer service and eventually got hold of a senior person there. This person said that they will put a R 125 credit limit on and that it would never go over this. There is a recording of this and I made sure by asking him 3 times that it would never exceed R125. I even made sure that it is recorded. You can find the recording where this was stated. As you mentioned the affordability of this I can not afford to pay this huge amount. It is just funny that suddenly I'm getting charged for extra data where in the past the data stopped at 2 gig. Someone did something on you side. I must say Mtn does not have something like customer service at all. Bad service bad attitude. I closed my Mtn contract and will use a better service provider.
