Billing Query and Cancellation of a contract

My contract on this number *** was ending on the 2nd of December 2020 I called MTN to cancel the contract

1st *** - Email was sent to Cancellation Department 2nd *** - The gentle I spoke assured me that cancellation was received and I will not be billed Today's Ref *** - I called in this morning because I am still being billed

This is not the first time when I'm cancelling my contract I had the same issue when I was cancelling my number ***
