Background:
I signed up for an MTN Contract on Black Friday (November 2016) contacting the MTN Direct Sales where my Sales Person was Dawood. During the application process, he told me that I will get a pro-rata as soon as the contract is activated and thereafter full provisions at t j
e h
beginning of December. I confirmed this cause I wanted my contract to run on a calendar month.

What happened:
I did get a pro-rata around the 28th to 29th of November. However, on the 1st or 2nd of December I did not get the full provisions. When I called 808, they advised me that actually my contracts runs from the 14th to 13th, meaning that my full provisions will only be allocated on the 14th of December.

I was not happy with this, so I called Dawood (MTN Direct Sales) to check this, from his side he insisted that he signed me up for a contract that runs on a calendar month. However, he could only refer me back to 808 for account management.

So, I called 808 and logged a request to change the billing cycle from the 14th to the calendar month (I don't have the REW number now, but I'm sure you can check notes on my account).

The Billing Department confirmed a few days later (I made a follow up with 808) that they will change the billing cycle with effect from January 2017.

January 2017:
On the 2nd of January I received my standard provisions (2 Gig data, 100 Minutes and SMSs) but not the promotional provisions of 50Gig Data and 10,000 MTN Minutes.

When I checked with 808, they told me that my 10,000 Minutes and 50 Gig runs on a different cycle - 14th. This made no sense whatsoever cause MTN Billing Department had agreed to change this (as discussed above). When I asked them about this, they were unable to provide conclusive responses.

This dragged on and on and on until I stumbled upon Jeremy Pillay on the 13th of January who took it upon himself to resolve this matter (and I really appreciate his efforts and assistance).

He assured me on the 13th that:
1) He will log a request with the Billing Division to allocate me the provisions that were supposed to come on the 2nd of January (50 Gig data + 10K Minutes) and that this will be effected within 24hrs.
2) From 2nd February going forward, all my combined provisions will be allocated together.

He also said there was no need to make any further follow up on this matter as it has been finalised, but I can check in February should there be any issues.

On the 14th of January I received the outstanding provisions - however I was skeptical that this was as a result of Jeremy's request, rather than the normal original cycle. So, I just thought to myself, I will see in February.

February Provisions:
On the 2nd of February I still did not receive the 50Gig Data and 10,000 Minutes.

I called 808 once again and asked to speak to Jeremy. He was suprised this had not been effected. He said he would escalate the matter and that it should be resolved in no time.

It has now been almost a week since I spoke to Jeremy on the 2nd of February and the matter is yet to be resolved.

What frustrates and depresses me is what Jeremy said on email that, I quote:
"I still haven't had any response on the tickets that were logged even though I have flagged this query several times and stressed the importance of it to the billing support department to provision you.

I
f it was something could manually doI
could manually do would have done it.I
would have done it. I really do apologize for the way in which you are being treated by MTN and what I can do is I can escalate this to higher management .

"

I last called them (808) on (08/02/2017) to make a follow up. They said that the Billing Dept says that I was provisioned with the 50Gig data and MTN Minutes on the 14th of January. I mean really, what exactly am I supposed to do here, is there anyone that can assist me here?

I then lodged a complaint via the MTN website (complaints section), I also sent emails to their Custsomercare and any other MTN email I can get, in addition to using Twitter. Exactly 7 days later after all this communique - STILL NO FEEDBACK!

Best regards,
It's now the second of March and once again I did not receive the Provisions for 50 GB Data and 10,000 MTN Minutes? In your response you said, I quote "We will engage with the relevant department dealing with these matters to investigate and resolve your problem accordingly" - are you still engaging?
This is really such a waste of time seemingly dealing with either *********** people and/or people who just have no disregard on providing real quality customer service. How long should I be complaining about the same issue, I mean it's been 3 months now for heaven's sake!!!
