Billed for service but MTN Delivers no service

MTN has signed me up a new contract and it just doesnt work. I took the deal over the phone with their call centre agent and recommend to all never to do that rather go into the store. Since having the contract I cant make calls or use my data it works for 5 days in a month and then says my limit has been reached even when I dont use my phone at all and not to mention that MTN in store told me there is no limit. I asked them what the problem is they say I reached my limit. They confused themselves all they do is simply read the same message i can read and not help at all.

My husband was in an accident this month and I had no means to reach him. We have contacted Phumelelo from MTN that helped a family friend with the same issue but was not able to help us but rather metioned he has escalated the problem and we have not heard from him since. I really regret signing with MTN however i am bound to this non functional contract and for now all I need is help to get it working, if not I will try and take a cell C buy out deal.

Good day Philycia,
Thank you for your post.
We are terribly sorry for the inconvenience that you experienced as a result of this. We completely understand the frustration it has caused.
Kindly be advised that the credit limit is set on all accounts, it is determined after your credit history and rating has been evaluated in accordance to the National Credit Act. The system shows that you have a credit limit of R520.01. You may call 808 and request for a credit limit increase to avoid getting suspended when you have reached the limit each month.
Rest assured, it is not our intention to displease you. We look forward to improving on the service delivery to you.
Regards,
Peggy

Hi Peggy
Thank you for getting back to me
Thank you for advising me on the National Credit Act which I am fami**** with. Please can you advise me that according to my itemised billing I have not reached the amount of R520 yet the service is suspended and has not been reactivated for the new month for me to even reach my limit. Please investigate throughly.
On a positive note I spoke to MTN New Market Franchise who seem to be even more knowledgable than MTN. He explained to me that there is an error on the system from porting Nashua Clients that sets two limits on my account showing the R520 and R7. He has given me a number to contact the account department however I cant seem to get through to MTN as expected.
Peggy would you be able to help me to remove the R7 limit blockage and reactivate my account. Hope this explanation also expands your knowledge on MTN system errors and credit limits to help other customers. If you need more information. Please speak to MTN franchise New Market, Alberton. They seem to know whats going on.
Please can you help to solve the problem?
