I have a 24 Month Cell phone contract with MTN which is to expire this month. I have had multiple communications with MTN and rewards co with regards o this matter which I will narrate below.
I entered into a 24-month contract in June 2020 with MTN which is to expire this month. Upon my request for an upgrade, MTN indicated to me that this contract is a 36-month contract and that it belongs to rewards co (Mondo company ) . I was given their contact details to query the matter I contacted Rewardsco(Mondo) for an investigation of which it was concluded and ruled in my favour . The Rewardsco agent which was assisting requested that I return my device to an MTN direct shop, which I did . The agent who assist assisted me at the MTN direct shop by 14 ave, Constantia was Mpho Damos. She captured my device details and communicated with Rewardsco via email requesting that they amend the incorrectly captured contract timelines. The MTN agent however refused to take the device as I would have already used it for 2 years of which it was my contract term.
I later followed up to rewards co on two occasions and I was given an option of 3 months of free premiums of which I refused and requested an amendment to my contract. Rewardsco promised to return back my calls once my request was done, of which they have not I then called rewards co again and their agent told me that they can only pay up to 6 months of my outstanding contract with MTN which would leave me with a shortfall of 3 months. the Rewards co-agent was Mfundo Luthuli, he also promised to get back to me of but he failed .
Rewards Co contact investigation *** Attached is the contract copy received from Rewards co Agent Noxolo Mngadi , which indicates the incorrect contract period .
