best service provider NOT TO USE!

I think I would be allowed to complain after 4 months of the worst service ever received in my LIFE. Thanks MTN! It all started on a fateful 23 Feb 2016 at MTN Paddocks (Milnerton) where an extremely *********** sales advisor duped me into signing a 24 month contract with MTN. After asking her if the Flexi Promo package would allow me to convert my airtime into data, she happily confirmed that it can be done. This after telling her, I am a data user more than airtime. Apparently, the misleading adverti*****t as per the MTN brochure also fooled her (choose where you want to spend your money - but its actually only airtime and if you use data, you will be billed out bundle rates). How is that for customer service. So I took out the package and low and behold, after trying to convert my "rand value" into data, it added a surcharge on my account. This made my whole reasoning for purchasing this contract irrelevant. After going back and asking a DIFFERENT employee about it, he also CONFIRMED that I can convert my data. Again, this was not so as we figured out my pre-existing airtime could be converted, not that of the contract. Does MTN actually train their salesforce?! Then the Branch Manager stepped in. Another great wave of incompetence hit me. After telling me I could go on a pure data package, she could not even give me a price BEFORE I sign a migration order. I will repeat, sign a migration order accepting fees for migration which cannot be given to me - not even ballpark figures. So after telling me she will go find out - who had to follow up with her. You've guessed it....the CUSTOMER. Eventually she still told me she cant get a price unless I sign the order, I reluctantly did so, but this time clearly indicating that I will only accept it once the fees and charges have been provided. So what does she do, simply email and MTN department with the order and them replying to the standard MTN website - and get this, she sends it back to me to search for the prices and fees (which cannot be found by the way). Another couple of days later - I get informed that I cannot migrate to data line. Alternative - reduce your talk minutes and buy data additionally.. This scenario did work out a bit cheaper, so decided to go with it. A request was again sent to DIC (whatever that is) department, and errors and more errors were received. Also trying to get the fees out of this branch manager (yes, the same fees I originally asked her) still could not be answered. Until I finally received an email from her on 15 June 2016 saying that - you know what, actually you cannot change your package until you complete your contract - I hope you understand...

I understand this MTN, a salesperson sells me a product I could not utilised as DESCRIBED to her. She provides me with misleading information and on the back of that I conclude a contract, only to realise that this was incorrect and I should have read the T's and C's before signing (I thought your staff would know the T's and C's and be able to correctly advise customers). Then a so called branch manager provides alternatives that I cannot use!

I think I would be allowed to complain after 4 months of the worst service ever received in my LIFE. I will be sure to NEVER use you again as well as NEVER refer any business to MTN and tell current MTN users that they'd be better off somewhere else. But I suppose you have more important multibillion dollar fines to pre-occupy you, rather than service one client that was done in by an inept employee and now simply telling me - I hope you understand.
