Being charged for MTNs mistake

Sent on behalf of Marlini Naicker:
I recently upgraded my contract. My cellphone (Samsung A5) was delivered but with a micro sim. This sim does not fit into the phone as the phone requires a nano sim. I called the MTN store in Hyde Park, spoke to everyone, asked the manager Jason to call me back (he did not) and was told I needed to pay R135 for a sim swap. I tried explaining several times that this was not something I did incorrectly but is instead a fault or MTN. The store then told me they are not responsible for what was delivered - are they not a representative of MTN nationally?

What must I pay for something that is a fault of MTN? MTN service is deteriorating at an exponential rate.

Marlini
***
