Being charged almost double for a contract I have already cancelled

After 2 months of struggling to get my contract cancelled I was finally given a cancellation fee which I paid about a month ago. Last week I got notification that my contract has been cancelled. Today I got billed over R500 for the cancelled R300 contract. And the customer care line has been changed in such a way that is impossible to speak to a human being so I can't even report the *****. So after paying almost a thousand rand "ransom" to get rid of the contract I'm now paying double for it and nobody is willing to help me fix it. MTN has the worst service I have ever had the misfortune to have to endure.

If the contract has in fact been cancelled and there is no outstanding amount then please explain to me why I received an invoice containing this charge
My MTNChoice 10GB *** 21-05-2020 21-05-2020 544.29
which with added tax is for R625.93. This clearly indicates my contract has not been cancelled according to your billing apartment. And in fact I am now suddenly being charged more for the contract than I agreed to. After months of struggling to get this contract cancelled and paying to do that I don't understand why I am being billed for it again. And if it really was cancelled why is the SIM card still working and still loaded with the data?
