Being ********** by upgrading in store as opposed to upgrading online

Went to the MTN Store in Sandton City to get my upgrade. If I upgrade online, I would only have to pay R340 now because my contract expires end November 2023. However, if I want to upgrade in the store, I would have to pay R510! They cannot explain why there is this big difference either. Something is wrong.
