BEING BLACKLISTED BY MTN AND HARASSED BY MDBCS DUE TO LACK OF SERVICE FROM THEIR SIDE.

My case has been going on since 2019. I lodged a complaint in before 1 December 2019 for which I got an automated response. I followed up on 10 December and then again on 2 May 2020 after getting no response from ***. I was phoned by an "MTN" Agent from, trying to sell me a small data contract. I was not interested as I went over to another supplier and had more than sufficient data. She convinced me to take a small package just to keep the number which after feeling pressured, I agreed to. Due to the fact that I did not really want to take out a contract I remember pertinently that after asking her that the amount would only be R29 per month, a couple of times, she confirmed it and I agreed to a contract of R29 per month. After a couple of months I realised I was billed R39. I went to the closest MNT store (i.e. Paddocks in Cape Town). The agent there was very helpful. When I enquired about the promotion she showed me the special on their catalogue at a price of R29.00. (Please refer to the catalogue for when the contract was taken out. I'm sure MTN should have record of all their promotions and catalogues. She also warned me not to do business over the phone as people normally to not get what they agreed on. After enquiring once again for feedback from the ***** department on 2 May, I eventually got a response. I confirmed my details as requested and sent it back to them, only to be informed that there was no fault with my contract. I told them that I was adamant that the amount was R29 as I remember asking the agent several times that it R29, which she confirmed. I also informed them that I was going to stop the debit order until I had clarity about the situation. I stopped the debit order and also stopped using the facility. I requested a copy of the telephone conversation between the agent and myself. It is at this stage that I was copied on the correspondence between (Lakeisha denae Micheals from MTN and Stephanie Naicker from ignitiongroup.co.za that I started realizing that I never spoke to an MNT directly but to an agent called CCS Outsoursing CC. (Please see info attached). This started making sense to me, as outsourcing services would obviously get commission. I checked ratings of CCS Outsoursing CC on Hello Peter and their reviews were very poor as well as their rating. This happened while a recording of the conversation was requested from by Busiswe George from MTNSA on 25 May 2020. I eventually received the feedback on recording of conversation between myself and the agent on 25 May at 16:02 from Mobileplus Support (see information as well as my notes made to this report attached). The report was not verbatim and also not the full version. I was not happy with the results of the report as it could be manipulated and changed. I therefore requested an audio version of the full conversation as well as a copy of the contract, which to date I have not received.

The next moment I started receiving phone calls and threats from MDBCS (Selina Medisane) for payment of the outstanding amount. I explained to her what happened and that I still have not received an audio copy of the conversation. She asked me to send her the evidence of conversations etc to her e-mail, which I did on 8 April 2021. Despite providing evidence I have been harassed by MDBCS ever since regarding the outstanding amount. This debt was written off and was sold to MDBCS for collection. I've been blocking their phone calls and refuse to have any further conversations with them.

In the meantime I have now found out that I have been blacklisted by MTN for an amount of R500.00, which was a one sided decision and according to me, in breach of contract from MTN's side. As a customer, I am entitled to a good service and also to get an audio copy of the agreement made between CCS Outsourcing CC, and myself. After being harassed and receiving poor service and not clarity from MTN, I as the customer, am the one being penalized. This is the reason I have decided to make this public through Hello Peter. I expect this issue to be resolved as soon as possible. If I get the audio recording and there is actual proof that I agreed to R39, taking the whole discussion into context, I am more than willing to pay for the services rendered. If not, MTN or their appointed Outsourcing agent is in breach of contract, which means they will have to apologize and withdraw any fees, blacklisting etc. which is putting me in a bad light. I think this can only be seen as fair.
