Bank profile linked MTN SIM No. ***, to Cell No. *** cut-off twice for over 1.5 years while overseas (ICASA Ref No. GAU2963/15). Vodacom able to establish connectivity within 1 hour.
<p>Business cell No. ********** 893 linked to Nedbank business banking profile is suddenly unable to connect to the Network from Thailand on 6 Sep, 2015. Thabiso, Branch Manager, MTN Northgate on ********** 779 is unable to resolve and becomes non-responsive. ICASA complaint, Reference No. GAU2963/15 is raised. The complaint is escalated to supervisor, Clarens Catin, ICASA.<br /><br />After 1.5 months of being disconnected, Veronica Smith, MTN CIP Administrator temporarily assists in servicing the ICASA complaint. Network connectivity is re-established 30 Oct, 2015. "Please accept our apologies for the delay and inconvenience caused as a result of this. We have activated your number on the network".<br /><br />Approximately 1 month later, on 04 Dec, 2015, same SIM No. ********** 580 is denied access to the Network i.e. ********** 893 is disconnected again. After months of correspondence with Clarens Catin, and Veronica Smith, Veronica assures "according to our technical team the number that you have provided is connected.", "This Subscriber is roaming on Real Future (True Move) Network in Thailand".<br /><br />Mark visits the True Mobile, Naklua branch, at Tesco Lotus in Thailand on 18 Dec, 2015. Technical supervisor tests and confirms SIM No. ********** 580 is unable to connect via their True Network (*). Mark visits Embassy of South Africa to Thailand, Bangkok. SIM Card No. ********** 580 is presented and verified before Commissioner of Oaths, Daphne. The SIM is confirmed unable to connect to the Network.<br /><br />After being disconnected for over 1.5 years, in an effort to re-establish connectivity, 1 x MTN SIM Card, ********** 183, and 1 x backup MTN SIM Card ********** 025 are couriered to Mark overseas in original packaging. Neither of the 2 cards are able to connect to the Network. According to Ramakosa, MTN Cresta Branch on ********** 124 the SIM Card(s) are enabled 26 Jun, 2016 (*).</p> <p>Mark visits MTN roaming partner to Thailand, AIS, CentralFestival Pattaya Beach Branch at 13:30, Mon 27 Jun, 2016. Queue No. H020, agent Darinya takes the phone and MTN SIM to back office, technical for testing. The MTN SIM Card is also tested in one of their handsets too. Darinya confirms the SIM is unable to connect to the Network.</p> <p>~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~</p> <p>Vodacom SIM is couriered to the same address in Thailand. Vodacom are able to provision and enable SIM to connect to the network within 1 hour from overseas while on the phone with Vodacom Call Center supervisor, Frazee on + ********** , Sat, 25 Jun, 2016 using identical handset(s) tried for MTN (*).</p> <p>(*) On record</p>
