Bad Service! *********** Staff

After a previous ***** of identity theft (A year later), I went to MTN Mall of Africa to open an account as I did not have a phone and at that time I didnt want to go to another service provider as I have been using MTN prepaid for years and I was not willing to change or port my number.

My contract was never getting approved as it was being rejected by the system (I am being told). I mean if they hav done investigations and concluded on the *****, why was my name not cleared of the *****?

After submitting all documents, affidavits, clearance letters, EVERYTHING! Still my contract was not getting approved

Even worse with this issue, credit checks were being done through Transunion all the freaken time - I am very fragile of my credit record due to previous theft and that was totally unacceptable. Credit checks almost everyday for two full weeks! while I am waiting for a phone - phoneless.

Eventually I get the phone a Huawei P9 and the thing is ******ed! both side buttons (Volume and Power) are mulfunctioning within a day of collection. I go back to the store on Monday 05 December 2016 after collecting on Friday afternoon 02 December 2016, I am told they do not cover physical damage like what the freak - Manager making asssumptions that I ******ed the phone cause it wasnt working. In three days after collection, even within a warranty as provided by the Consumer Protection Act, he was unable to assist me. I mean I have common sense why would I ****** something that has a warranty? Something that I will be paying R600 for every single month for 2 full years! Such nonsense!

Now the phone is not working at all - It keeps rebooting. So technically without a phone again!

Really appalled and disgusted by such bad customer service!
