BAD SERVICE EXPERIENCE
My husband's cell phone was ****** yesterday. The contract is in my name.
I contacted the MTN Call Centre and wanted to report the phone to be blacklisted.
The first time I phoned in, I was told that they need the IMEI number. When I explained that I am at work and my husband was at work and the box is at home. The lady said she could not help me. I asked her to check her system as the contract is in my name. She never did any security checks or look up the number on the system. I eventually slammed the phone down as I was not getting the service I was expecting.
Ten minutes later, I phoned again, spoke to another lady...what a difference....she helped me straight away and BTW, I got the IMEI no off the MTN app. However, I was told to temporarily suspend the number I have to go to a branch as the call centre does not do this anymore.
This is not the service you expect from a big organisation like MTN. You are making it more and more difficult for customers to do anything.
Can't you have a dedicated number for phoning in and reporting ****** phones. By the time, you go through your introduction, you dont remember anything.
JACK UP
