Bad service and withholding information

Minutes expired today. Call 808 just to be told that i have a limit on my minutes. This is new to me as this was not told to me at renewing my contract. Was told to buy new minutes for today as my new minutes will be loaded tomorrow. Bought R70 minutes that will be available immediately according to consultant. Clearly it wasn't. Called again, spoke to Lilian, that told me it was loaded and i must just switch my phone off and the on to activate my minutes. This did not work so i called again. Now i was rold that minutes was loaded but not activated and it will take 24 hours to active! Now what is the use of buying minutes that I cannot use? I also apparently have a credit controller- news to me. I paid for something that I cannot use. Was given 3 different answers by the call centre and feel that I was totally mislead by MTN. It seems that their service is just going down by the minute and we keep paying. I have been with MTN all my life but I think you have just made me realize it is time to change my service provider. I am a single mother so I need my phone. Clearly MTN does not worry about me and/or my kids if we needed help urgently .
