Bad service

I want to upgrade my contract as I normally do as I qualify for an upgrade suddenly when I inquire about when my device will deliver I am been informed that I must sent them My 3 months bankstatements, copy of my ID and proof of adres. I am nearly 15 years on this contract but why must I submit suddenly all this information. It is very suspicious and the call agent was not helpful
