BAD SERVICE

I guese it's true that MTN is bad and falling apart. I spoke to Felicity from 173 and she was rude to me. I have not used my number in ages and I wanted to do a sim swap...she asked me 2 questions and said I failed security questions. This is not happening for the first time......IT'S A MISSION TO PORT OR DO A SIM SWAP WITH MTN. It's has k#k SERVICE CHAMPS

Hello Mohube,

Due to the number of sim swap ***** identified, it is our duty to try our level best to protect our customers and us as a service provider and the only way we can be able to do that, is to make sure we ask security questions and we do have to be strict about it as we cannot leave room for mistake.

There is an alternative to help you should you not remember all security checks as you mentioned, you may go to the police station and make an affidavit and attach the copy of your ID, the reason for this is for us to have a document of declaration from yourself so that should someone else call and claim the no. we have our files to refer back too.

Please note the below information is required to be stated on the affidavit:
1. Reason for swap - e.g. Lost/******/damaged - preferably provide dates.
2. Please state and confirm that you are the rightful owner of the sim card.
3. Please state that you cannot remember the information required to pass the security questions, as requested telephonically when you contacted us at 173
4. Please state that you request MTN to process the sim swap, kindly provide the old and new numbers.

Regards,
Ebbedene
