Bad Service
<p>I recently got told i must pay to fix a pink line across my phones screen cause there is a little scatch on the back of the phone. Since MTN cannot uphold manufacturers warranty on the device i refuse to pay. I was told it will cost me R3000 to get it fixed. its not enough i pay over R800 a month for terrible service. Honestly regret upgrading my contract with MTN, no support nothing.</p>

MTN SP After Sales is accredited to assess and perform cellular repairs under strict manufacturer guidelines and as such, specific criteria is app**** when assessing devices to validate warranty. This is done in accordance with procedures laid down by each manufacturer.
The Limited Warranty does not apply to normal wear and tear or if any component of the hardware is opened or repaired by any person who is not authorised by the manufacturer and does not cover repair or replacement of any hardware damaged by misuse, moisture or liquids, proximity or exposure to heat, accident, abuse, neglect, misapplication, or defects due to repairs or modifications made by any person/s not authorised by the manufacturer. The Limited Warranty does not cover physical damage to the surface of the hardware including cracks or scratches on the LCD screen.
Unfortunately, since the handset is physically damaged it cannot be repaired under warranty.
We would like to assure you that it is certainly not our intention to dissatisfy our customers and apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you.

There is nothing wrong the line just appeared one day and I took it to mtn and got told I must pay for let alone paying R850 a month. This is a joke. The unit is supposed to be repaired or replaced if there is a fault with the unit. There is a pink line across my screen it has never been dropped. This is a regular problem with these phones.
