Bad experience with MTN bosses
Dear MTN bosses (they are not entitled to the word management)
It frustrates me to have to write this bad review.
My first package I took with MTN was on 28 November 2016 (if I remember correctly). It was R150 for 50gb, 1000 any network minutes (I think) and 200 sms. I'm sure many have also taken this deal, I had 3. One for me (number ending with 140), my colleague and brother in law (number ending with 130). It was awesome.
November 2018 it changed but my brother in law and I upgraded our package, it was more expensive as were expected by these companies once they have their clientele.
Then came 28 November 2020, just as I thought things won't go from bad to worst, boy did I not see this coming. I again upgraded, to the 200gb package for R299pm. However the MTN consultant (Khanyi Koti at Westgate Mall, Mitchell's Plain) upgraded my package with the wrong number (used 130 instead of 140), which I did not know at the time.
A few days later I tried to cancelled my brother in law contract as advised from Khanyi. She said that his current unused data will fall away, so I advised him to use it up before a certain date and then I must cancel as Khanyi advised. I then phoned 136 before my next bill date which I think was 12th of each month to cancel but the consultant said that the number was upgraded. Oh my worth are you serious was my reaction. So back to Khanyi I go. She then escalated the matter, to change 130 to 140, to her seniors via email. Few days later I pop in, no news yet (they seem to be on leave), the next week no news yet, the following week no news yet, if I keep typing next week and next week it will be the definition of insanity. Khanyi made a mistake and then tried to correct it with the advise of her Manager Shameega (Regional Manager-Moenieb) but I can confidently say that the bosses higher than Shameega was and still is all on vaycay. December 2020 they did nothing, January 2021 they did nothing and February 2021, well, maybe they'll ease into things.
So here we are 2 February 2021 and it is still unresolved. In fact I received a nice debit order 31 December 2020 of R1737.53 which bounced (cost me R150), and another 1 February 2021 of R3347.03 which also bounced (another cost to me of R150).
I have been as you can see very patient, about two months (I should've been a doctor :-) ), but that's just how far it goes.
Oh, my two stars are for the two contracts I had, otherwise it would have been minus five.
Many thanks Hello Peter for allowing me this opportunity to express myself and to take matters further.
Wishing Hello Peter prosperity, Abdul-Aziz I'm sure my details can be found with the consultant...
Another debit order of R4968.03 went off on my account, I however reversed the debit order, and I will continue to do sir whether I become blacklisted or not.
*********** bosses (managers) placed in positions. This issue has not yet been resolved after Khanyi (MTN agent) have sent many emails and have escalated the matter multiple times but it always end up in deaf ears. This is to show that service providers just want your money and to hell with the rest. 1000 agents will phone you to make a sale but only 2 will be available for client queries, even though they have thousands of customers.
Another lady I met in MTN had the same problem from August 2020 and ran a bill of R16000 due to *********** bosses.
With no one wanting to be accountable, we'll why should I care.
The contract I was still wanting to take with MTN has reached it's end.
Goodbye (good riddance), emphasis on GOOD.
