Bad Customer service & Ineffectual at every level
My contract phone is faulty. I took it into the store for repairs (which was twice closed). It was not sent in as I ruled out a line in the ******ive repairs agreement, the store representative didn't raise this as an issue & I was assured the phone would be sent in. After 2months of calls, social media chats & going to the store, I am still no further to getting the phone repaired & thus decided to cancel my contract.
The store told me to call the call centre, who told me to hold, & the call cut. I was told by the customer call centre that it was a business contract because they thought I was employed by my webhoster. I have tried to get information on how to cancel the contract from min 5 personnel across all channels, but still, no information as I continue to pay a contract for a phone that is sitting in the safe at the Glen store.
The bulk of representatives I have dealt with have been effectual and to a large degree, completely disinterested in helping or troubleshooting. The social media assistance is completely cyclical and often incoherent as it is evident that one rep picks up where another left off without reading the conversation.
I've been an MTN customer for 18yrs!
