Bad Customer Service from MTN agents!

On the 19th of Jan 2020 I went for a cellphone upgrade at MTN in Pitermarizburg centra, Address: Shop 2, Fedsure House, 140 Chief Albert Luthuli St, Pietermaritzburg, 3201. We went through the upgrade process with one of the agents but the system kept asking for documents a few minutes after she send the application through - she was also not sure why because my "buying credit" was quiet high. I did advise that i stay i durban and im in PMB to buy a phone for my nephew (who stays in PMB) and then leave. After multiple attempts at the application, she took my number and said i can leave and she will call me once its approved.

The day ended and still nothing. I googled the number ***) and tried to call but no answer. On the 20th i called that same number more than 10 times (on hourly intervals) but still no answer.

on the 21th i asked a friend of mine who stays in PMB to go to the store and ask for their number because ive been calling and no answer so i suspect they might have a new one. My friend went there and ask for the number , and they gave him the exact same number ***) i found on google. He said they agent told him the phone is at the back so they sometimes dont hear it. So i called the MTN nummber again while my friend was still in the store but still no answer! the agents we blatantly ignoring it.

I then called him and ask that he give one of the agents his cellphone so i can speak to them, because i just want to find out the status of my application. They refused to speak to me and said that they wont be able to check, onnly the person who did the application can check the status - bare in mind the lady who had done the application was in the toilet (according to them). My friend waited for more than an hour, and ended up leaving, because the lady wasnt coming back.

The agents in that store have a bad customer service especially the ones working today. i'm yet to know that status of my ugrade.
