Bad Customer Service

I called MTN on 8 September 2024 regarding a concern about a text message I received from Telkom stating that “Welcome to Telkom Mobile your new number is”which was my number, I got scared because I have a paying contract with MTN I’ve never missed a payment so it raised red flags .

The First Lady I spoke to oh my word. There was so much background noise and she kept asking me to repeat the verification answers. I then told her that her background is noisy she then said “well it’s a call centre other agents are assisting customers “ oh so was I not important? I hung up the phone and decided to call again because I felt like I was not treated right more over I’m telling you guys that I got a text stating that my number is registered with Telkom !!!!! I forgot her name but since all calls are recorded I’m expecting that call to be audited

I then spoke to Simphiwe Sitholean and explained the situation ,he asked for my number and said “uhm ma’am your number is registered with MTN” I then asked how is he assuring me because he did not ask for my verification details to check my account properly to make sure, I’m not sure if they saw my age and treated me unfairly because I’ve worked in a call centre before and I know that the information populates if the system recognises your number . I even went to the extent of explaining that I was using Telkom last year up until March after I did the port out request and joined with MTN , he then said uhm ma’am since your query is with Telkom please contact Telkom how so when my network provider is MTN. This was the most dissatisfaction with MTN . Best believe if my number was compromised it will be on you guys because you hire people that are rude and don’t have the soft skills to assist customers.

I had problems with the insurance as well their call center is the most nosy I got **** to I was given false information that inconvenienced my time , YOU GUYS ARE NOT IN MY GOOD BOOK more than anything I’m dissatisfied
