BAD customer service

PATHETIC SERVICE FROM MTN ONCE AGAIN
My contract expired on the 28 August 2015, I went to MTN Gateway on the 1st September and completed the process to cancel my contact and transfer to Pay as you GO.
I was told that the process will take 7 days.

I recieved an sms stating my payment due was R 1033. 65, on the 29 August 2015. The payment was made.

I called 808 number today to find out why 8 days later my contract wasn't cancelled. They tell me there is an outstanding balance of R 476.26 that needs to be paid first.

MTN did not notify me of this, neither did they inform me that they application was declined.

I think this is an injustice to me ... it is my right to cancel this contract and to keep the number i have had for almost 13 years. They do not take any responsibility in this lack of attention to a customers needs.

I want my contract cancelled and number changed to a Pay as you go number immeadiately. I take responsibility to make payment of the outstanding amount which is anyway due at the end of September.
