Bad customer service

Last week Tuesday I went to MTN at Pavilion Shopping Centre in Durban to get a upgrade on my phone,I was given a catalogue for AprilMay and whilst waiting found the phone that I wanted. Although there were very few customers we waited for about 35 minutes before they called my number. This in spite of the fact that there were staff members sitting around at their computers. The phone that I wanted was out of stock and the staff member could not tell me when they would get stock, made no effort to find one for me till i mentioned it,could not suggest an alternative and when I asked about another phone was told that too was out of stock.I was then told that because I am upgrading I needed to give bank statements to prove income even although I have been with MTN for many years and have never defaulted with my payments. As I was unhappy with all this I asked about cancellation and was told I could only do that in Sept.No attempt was made to try and keep me as a customer even after all this time with MTN.I then asked to see the manager. After some more waiting the manager came and explained took my number said would try to find a phone.Week later still no call.Shocking service!
