Bad Customer Service
I joined MTN as a new customer on 01/03/2023. Changing from Vodacom to MTN because the MTN connection in my area is better- what a big mistake! I went to the MTN Cradle Stone Shop on 01/03/2023 spend 5h45 minutes in the shop in the morning and afternoon and went back on 04/03/2023 for 2h30 hours with still no connection for my Wi-Fi and Phone. The Wi-Fi and phone sim cards are both in my phone. On taking out the contract my finger print authentication failed on 01/03/2023 and 04/03/2023. They request the back office to override it on 01/03/2023 and on 04/03/2023 still waiting for it. I received a message from Vodacom on 01/03/2023 that they received the request to Port my cell phone number and that is was done. On 01/03/2023 received a message from MTN the Port is now in progress. On 05/03/2023 I received a message from MTN that my number has been successfully ported to MTN. But also received a message, Sim 2 not provisioned (My phone sim card) The Wi-Fi was activated on 06/03/2023 for a short while then I lost it after I changed my Wi-Fi password. So for now, I don't have Wi-Fi connection, cannot connect to Google or Facebook and also cannot make calls or send a What's up. So if my Wi-Fi is not working I should be able to connect to my phone data and talk time minutes that's not happening. I'm still waiting for a copy of my contract. Tshepo the manager is trying to sort it out, but really 7 days later without success. This is bad customer service, I'm not treated fairly as a client. I don't know what I would have done during this week if I didn't had Vodacom Wi-Fi data.
