BAD CLIENT SERVICE
I have been a very loyal client to MTN since 1997, I have never changed my service provider ever since I was fortunate to get my first cellphone, not because MTN is cheap in prices, but I always had good client service, I believe you pay for what you get, but recently I don't get what I pay for, as the service at MTN is falling apart.
I currently have 3 cellphone contracts with MTN, and I have been billed from the start in arrears, I did query this in the very beginning but I was told that this is how THEIR system works, my debit order is supposed to go off on the 1st of each month but in May they took their debit on the 7th, but the debit returned as there was R 500 short in my account and I did not keep track of my funds in the account as I was under the assumption that they have taken their monthly payment. As soon as it came to my attention, I funded my account and asked them to take the debit, which they did on the 11th of May,
Then on the 1st of June, the debit order was not taken. when I phoned them and queried this, they said that they have changed my payment method to cash, why this was done I have no idea and I did not agree to this, the consultant then changed it back to debit order and then they double debited my account with R 5200.00 without asking if I have the money to do this, when I phoned them and asked them why they have done this, they said that it is because their system has changed and it shows that I am in arrears, when I asked about the fact that they have billed my account in arrears since day one and when their system has changed to not bill in this matter, they never informed me as a client and never made any arrangement for the payment they need, the consultant the said that MTN will reverse the R 2600.00 funds back into my account as I needed the money for medication as, myself, my husband and daughter had Covid.
Two days after they have returned the funds, they disconnected my lines, when I phoned them and asked why, I had the same story, but I was told they will debit my account on the first of July with the R 2 600.00 and the balance of the R 2 600.00 I can pay cash instore with the extra funds I have on a monthly basis,
AGAIN it is the 2nd of July and they have not taken the debit order, am I now going to go through the same headache again this month as it seems that MTN is cost saving in employing *********** people in their employment as there seems to be no one that can assist in solving this issue.
My loyalty as a client for 24 years seems nothing to them, as this is the kind of treatment I get, I have always paid my account, I never had my lines disconnected. I know my small amount each month to them is insignificant because I am an individual and not a big company, but my current contracts with them is to the value of R 62 400.00 calculated roughly and to me it is a significant amount.
I WILL NOT RENEW MY CONTRACTS TO MTN WHEN THE TIME COMES, I have always spoken HIGHLY about MTN and I was a proud client, but this has changed
IS THERE ANYONE AT MTN THAT KNOWS WHAT THET ARE DOING ????????
