MTN has taken over my contract from Altech Autopage. I had hoped that they would be able to resolve an on going problem that I had had with Autopage, but it has proved to be out of the frying pan and into the fire. I received a faulty phone from Autopage in August last year. I returned it to them under the \cooling off\" period allowed for by law. I am still being charged monthly for a telephone that I do not have. In addition I am being charged for a package of 300 SMS messages a month that I never ordered and cannot possibly utilise. I use about 3 texts per month. Autopage's technique was to pass all queries / complaints to another person and close off the complaint. The new person was not required to open a new case number so every month I had to start a new thread, which followed the same trail. Now and again, my account would be credited with odd amounts, presumably to keep me quiet for a while. It seems to me that the Autopage staff has trained the MTN staff to do the same. I submit my query in writing, attaching all the history and documentation. Then I get an e-mail telling me to contact the help desk. The help desk tells me to send a copy of the contract by e-mail!"
