Aweful Disgusting service

My wife is a loayal Mtn client for more than 10 years and for the first time we had a problem with a cellphone that we purchased on contract from Mtn.

She had the LG G4 and after 1 year and a bit the phone crashed. So in June 2017 we took the phone in for repairs as its still under warranty. I took the phone to MTN Parow centre with all the paperwork required and handed the phone to one of the consulants. I asked the consultant at the time if there is anything I needed to sign or if there is any paperwork I need to get and it was said to me no they will be incontact with us.

After 3 weeks of not having any feedback from them we returned to the store to find out what is happening. That is when we were pleasantly surprised that no one can give us any information on where the device is and what has happened to it.

They requested us to please supply them with the IME number which we did and it was said that the phone is at the warehouse. A week later we followed up again they wanted to know if we have swoped the phone out after the the first 7 days to which we responded no.

Again we were advised that they will follow up with the warehouse. Every week we followed up and no one could answer us on what is happening.

I then lost my cool and requested that a manager call me to which no one called. Eventually we demanded to speak to a manager who then advised my wife that they have no records that the phone was handed in at the store and they will contact me to question me on when and were the phone was handed in. I gave them a full detialed description of the event and advised that we were told the phone is at the warehouse as this was tracked on the IME number. Again the manager promised to call me on Friday 4 August 2017 this was on the 2 August 2017. Today I had to follow up agian and was once again questioned on what happened and who the phone was handed to and to crown it all this time it was a shop assistant calling me not even the manager as promised.

I advised them that if I do not get a replacement or my money back by end of business today i am laying a charge of theft against the store and will take the matter further making sure MTN answers for the lack of service or should i say no service.

THIS IS REALLY SAD TO SEE THAT LOAYLTY MEANS NOTHING IN THE BUSINESS WORLD ANYMORE.
