Avoid MTN especially MTN at Cresta

After 26 years of being part of MTN I ended my relation with them this morning. I was due to upgrade since June last year and decided to do it in beginning of 2022. A personal visit to MTN Cresta on Tuesday 4 January 2022 was made and the SAMSUNG S21 and a watch was ordered. They promised to keep me updated on the stock's arrival a day or two later. An e-mail, 8 calls later and another visit this morning after they promised that the stock has arrived. After the lady Similo eventually arrived 30 minutes late it was discovered that the watch ordered was not there. After 70 minutes in the store witnessing more angry customers on various issues around and saw how elderly people were treated I made the call to end my relationship with MTN - They do not know how to work with customers - old and new. MTN at Cresta’s must be avoided at all costs - it is just not worth the time and effort - I am still waiting for any response from MTN's Head office to the mail I sent on Friday 7 January and received to response from the MTN twitter account.

Reviewer Update
I am not surprises that MTN has not responded to the Hellopeter review. I also wrote three e-mails to various MTN e-mails published for customer services. They responded to no one. I only received an automated reference number. To add to this the first mail gave notice of my contract cancellation - This was not acted on. Only two weeks later when I phoned 083153 (MTN Help line) did I get a response and that date was used as date of cancellation. They have no clue how to work with customers. Any prospective MTN customer should think twice.
