Are MTN selling undisclosed numbers??

I am extremely alarmed by the recent situation involving my MTN number. This number has only been shared with family, friends, and my two non-profit organizations that combat critical issues like gender-based violence and human trafficking. It is confidential and should never have been leaked. On the morning of February 21, 2025, I received seven spam calls on this number, which raises serious concerns about MTN's handling of customer information.

It is completely unacceptable for a number that I have entrusted to a select few to be bombarded with unsolicited calls. I demand that MTN conduct a thorough investigation into how this number was compromised and provide a clear and transparent explanation. This is essential to avoid any implications of negligence or potential ******** activity, especially as it pertains to compliance with the POPI Act. Immediate action is required to rectify this breach of trust.
