APPLICATION FOR ADDITIONAL CONTRACT - DISSAPOINTED

On Friday, 24 November 2017 at about 11H00, I called MTN online, as an existing client of two contracts with them, to apply for 4 (FOUR) addition contracts.

After spending, collectively, almost 2 (TWO) hours on the phone with MTN, they have taken all my information they needed and they advised me that I should receive an e-mail that would either confirm or reject my application.

At about 16H00 on Friday, 24 November 2017, I called MTN online again as I did not receive an e-mail confirming or rejecting anything. I called and told the person who answered the phone the name of the person whom assisted me, he told me she is busy and he will let her know to come back to.

It is now Friday, 1 December 2017, and after I have called MTN again they only informed me that there is some kind of affordability warning when they want to submit my application. I am not sure what is worse, that I had to call them for 7 days in a row to get answers from MTN or the fact that my application was only attended to after so many days has passed.

In total the amount of premium of the contracts I have app**** for is approximately R1,200.00 and my current contracts is approximately R800.00 per month. I know there can not be anything wrong with my affordability, and if it is because of the amount of contract that I have, it is still less that when you take a "unlimted" contract with MTN. I just can not see why I have to wait for 7 days just to figure out that I will still be waiting. I need the device and the data packages urgently as I am without it currently and I have a lot of things that I am loosing out of now because of this delay.

My whole family and I have been loyal clients of MTN for a very very long time, but unfortunately this experience opens up the possibility of seeking other service providers after our contracts have expired.

I truly hope MTN sorts this out as I always have been a big fan of the yellow company.
