Apparenty it's ok to lie to customers

Don't even bother going to mtn for help, or worst yet, speaking to their call centre.

I took out my contract 10/08/2016, a Sony Xperia Z5 on an Mtn MyChoice100. The only reason I took out that specific contract was because of the promotion that was running, get that phone and get 2.5 GB of data, 300 minutes and 200 sms's for the first 12 months. It even states that on the front of my contract.

Within the first week of signing up, I already had problems. I'm scheduled to receive my data, minutes and sms's on the 14th of every month. The 14/08 came and I got 1 GB of data. I called mtn, went into the store I took the contract out with more than 5 times and was promised a call back and that it would be sorted out. I still haven't been called, let alone received the missing data that was promised to me.

Then I went to the Mtn store in the V&A Waterfront. The store manager claimed I was not supposed to get all of my data the first month, that I was only supposed to get prorata as they call it. Yet, I did mention, I had received all my minutes, and sms's, and I was being billed for the full MyChoice 100 package, plus the prorata they were talking about. So why did I not receive all of the promised data if I was paying more than I was supposed to for the first month. The store manager then said she would forward my contract to the relavent people so that they could take a look at whats going on, that she would even send it to the regional manager if it did not get sorted out. That was two weeks ago. She politely just sent the information back to the Canal walk store, telling them to contact me. It's been two weeks and still, nothing.

I emailed the Mtn Waterfront store manager after 7 working days of not hearing anything, she politely just says she did her duty by forwarding it back to the store I took my contract out with. So I need to go back to the store in Canal Walk for the 6th time, just to not be assisted again? Who is going to reimburse me for all my time, and petrol wasted going back and fourth for the same issue and nothing gets resolved.

I feel like everybody in Mtn stores only tell you what you wnat to hear to shut you up hoping the problem will just go away by itself or the customer will be tired of their **** and give up.

Yesterday was 14/09, the day I get my recurring data, sms's and minutes. And yet again I'm missing data, this time I'm missing 1.5 GB. Are you going to tell me again this month that I'm only supposed to get prorata? It stipulates on the first page of my Mtn Contract that I signed up for 2.5 GB for the first 12 months. It's month two, which means I've lost 2 months of that 12 month period, yet I'm still missing the data promised to me.

I sent detailed emails to the Store Manager of waterfront and Canal walk, I sent attachments showing them that when I log onto my mtn account, the subscriptions I have are wrong! YET NOBODY LISTENS TO ME. The one agent Glynn at the Mtn Canal walk store said she could see my subscriptions were wrong and that she would call me in that week to sort things out. That was 3 weeks ago.

It's like Mtn wants to push me to cancelling my contract because they are in breach of contract. I don't know what they pay their staff to do all day, because clearly they not getting paid to do their jobs, how could they if they don't know how to do it.

If Mtn would like, I will gladly teach their staff proper customer service. Because at the moment, what they are offering is customer disservice.
