Appalling service from MTN
I made the mistake (never to be repeated) of renewing my cellphone contract with MTN. The actual process of renewing it was simple. However, the instalment amount was R 99.00 I then received a debicheck from my bank indicating an instalment amount of R 20 000.00 and a credit limit of R 20 000. - 200 times the amount of my instalment. I obviously rejected the debicheck. Since then I have spent about 5 hours on the telephone trying to organise to pay via EFT. Each phone call (after waiting for about 15 minutes) usually involves about 25 minutes with customer service who then refer me to sales. After a further 25 minutes sales informs me that they cannot deal with the problem and I must go back to customer service. This is when I am fortunate enough not to have the call terminated or the reception is so bad I cannot hear and I have to start the process again. MTN, your service is TOTALLY APPALLING. Please, everybody, think twice, at least, before having MTN as your service provider. Once you have signed a contract you cease to exist, no matter what the issue. Thank you, hellopeter, for giving me an opportunity to vent my frustration.
