Appalling service from Corporate Companies in South Africa

The most appalling service like every other corporate company in South Africa, you cannot cancel an MTN contract, there is only one number to call for cancellations, even their staff from other branches have to use the same number. I tried for six months to get through to this number, I eventually had to take my 87 year old moth into a branch to try an cancel and they only called the same number which was never answered, after an hour in the Que and two hours of waiting with her while the consultant tried to get through to their own cancellations department, we eventually had to walk out. They have now handed her over even though the contract has come to an end and we tried to give notice according to their terms and conditions, this turned out to be an impossible task. Once again I say you CANNOT cancel your contract when it comes to an end - Zero customer service like every other corporate company in South Africa with an automated answering system
