Appalling MTN service
I am an enraged MTN user. I am going overseas today and wanted to simply find out what I need to do to use my phone only for SMS and wattsapp, not calls. I have called customer services number 808 for 3 days (30-40 times). I hold on for 5-10 minutes then the call is suddenly ended. I cannot get hold of the idiots who are supposed to run this service. I leave for overseas and cannot get any response. The MTN service is beyond appalling, costing me a large amount in waste time and the gross inconvenience of not being able to use my phone off s****. What do I do to get a response from MTN?

In order to activate SMS roaming, dial the following USSD code *111*14# and choose option 1 on your handset, . This needs to be done 30 minutes prior to departure.On return you can deactivate the SMS roaming by using the same USSD and choosing option 2.
We would like to assure you that we are actively working to improve our service levels.
