Apalling customer service at MTN - HVRC
Bought a Sony Z3 phone in August. In october it overheated and was bent. Bend clear that is it due to internal / battery issues.
Booked phone in for inspection to HVRC - phone deemed beyond economic repair. Warranty voided.
Inspection report only shows the bend. No inspection report on the overheating which is the reson the phone was bent.
Supervisor (Kushal Singh) did not believe our story and told us to cancel contract if we want to. When threatening going to the NCC - supervisor said we can go there if we want to.
Paid R330 for booking the phone in - though it is obvious that no inspection was done.
Came back to the Simmonds street store and they agreed that the service was bad. They further requested the overheating report which they were not given.
When enquiring about ETF - Retention agent requested that I tell my story again. Thereafter came back with the ETF of R9 770.63
That was more time wasted and still no assistance.

So, the customer keeps paying even for internal damage.
They do not care about customer experience

I am disgusted more at the fact they they did not bother about investigating the cause for the overheating.

Regards,
Lindoh
